Wessels & Pautsch, P.C. Proudly Changes Name to Wessels Pautsch & Sherman P.C.!

Richard H. Wessels, founder of Wessels & Pautsch, P.C. and Chairman of the Board, has proudly announced a name change for this management-side labor and employment law firm. The firm previously known as Wessels & Pautsch, P.C. has officially changed its name to Wessels Pautsch & Sherman P.C.

"This change reflects our desire to honor and recognize Senior Shareholder James B. Sherman, and include him in the firm name," noted firm President Charles W. Pautsch. Jim Sherman, founder and head of the firm's Minneapolis, Minnesota office, is extremely proud of the firm's growing presence in that state. "We opened our Minneapolis office over 10 years ago, in 1998," he said, "and as a native Minnesotan it is especially gratifying that our firm has been so well received in my home state."

Jim Sherman's background in labor and employment law is both varied and substantial. He has been involved in employment litigation and labor matters throughout the United States for more than 20 years, and is a consultant and frequent business lecturer on employment issues in the workplace. Jim graduated from the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University Law School, where he was honored as a Thomas More Scholar. He is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois, as well the U.S. Supreme Court, among others. Jim is a member of the American Bar Association and the Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin State Bar Associations. In addition to successfully managing our growing Minneapolis office, Jim has demonstrated his effective leadership as Chair of the firm's Executive Committee, which has successfully guided virtually all aspects of firm operations, since 2006.
